How to Enable Two-Step Authentication on Facebook

Two-step authentication (also known as two-factor authentication (2FA)) adds an extra layer of security to your Facebook account by requiring a second verification step in addition to your password. Here’s how you can enable it on both mobile and desktop.


1. Enable Two-Step Authentication on Facebook (Mobile App)

Step 1: Open the Facebook App

2. Enable Two-Step Authentication on Facebook (Desktop/Web)

Step 1: Open Facebook on Your Browser

Step 2: Open Security Settings

  • Click your profile picture (top-right).
  • Select “Settings & Privacy”“Settings”.
  • Click “Security and Login” in the left menu.

Step 3: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
